Mixed Company co-ed a cappella at Swarthmore College since 1991

While we have existed since 1991, it was not an illustrious beginning. Back in those dark days, two freshmen, Jenni Owen and Cheryle Oshman, decided to brave the wilds of co-ed a cappella. Before this, only single-sex a cappella existed at Swarthmore (in the forms of the all-male Sixteen Feet and the all-female Grapevine), and we were the first group to break that barrier. Rising quickly from the nickname "Moo and The Seven Freshmen," Mixed Company established itself in the Swarthmore a cappella scene and has been a force to reckon with ever since. Though our moments of sanity are few and far between, we've managed to acquire a nice repertoire that changes every year (with a few notable exceptions, such as the ubiquitous "Like A Prayer") and we provide quality entertainment to the Swarthmore campus and beyond.
