We sang in the belltower to attract new members for the coming year. The songs were "I Want You," "Like a Prayer," and "Hunter."
Jamboree this semester was hosted by Essence of Soul. We sang "I Will Follow," "Don't Know Why," and "I'm Afraid of Americans."
We sang at Friends School in Baltimore. We sang a five-song set: Rubber Ducky, Demons, Just Missed The Train, Possession, and Why Don't You Do Right?
Fall Jamboree happened these two days -- Sticks and Stones hosted, and we closed the first half with a three-song set: Just Missed The Train, Possession, and Why Don't You Do Right?
With Sticks and Stones, we hosted the Drexel Treble Makers. We closed the show with a four-song set: All You Wanted, Hallelujah, Demons, and Finnish Drinking Song.
We sang in the traditional belltower sing to attract new members. We sang a three-song set: Son Of A Preacher Man, I Want You, and Like A Prayer.
Sixteen Feet hosted Spring Jamboree, and we sang a three-song set both nights: All You Wanted, Ain't No Sunshine, and I Want You. We also released our highly-anticipated CD, Ducks in a Row, available on the recordings page.
Recent Mixed Company alumni came to the belltower to sing one last time and generally have fun. We sang a whole bunch of songs, from the current group's repertoire and from repertoire of the past.
We hosted the University of Illinois Xtension Chords in the WRC. We sang a two-song set to open: Take On Me and One; and a three-song set to close: Son Of A Preacher Man, Title Of The Song, and Like A Prayer.
We hosted Fall Jamboree, with a Monty Python theme (including a parrot! well, it looked like a parrot from the audience. sort of.) and sang with six other groups from the Swarthmore a cappella scene. We closed the concert with a three-song set: Nightswimming, San Andreas Fault, and Mr. Jones.
We were the guest group at the Fall Show of UPenn's Penny Loafers, in Dunlop Auditorium at Penn. We sang a four-song set: Rubber Ducky, Walking On Broken Glass, Off The Hook, and Like A Prayer.
We sang on Parrish porch with most of Swarthmore's other a cappella
groups to attract new members at the Activities Fair. We sang a four-song
set: Rubber Ducky, Son Of A Preacher Man, Video Killed The Radio Star, and
Title Of The Song.
Spring Jamboree was held by Grapevine in Lang Concert Hall. We sang a three-song set both nights: Shoebox, Hunter, and Title Of The Song.
We sang for admitted students in the Meetinghouse, along with Sixteen Feet and Essence of Soul. Ours was a four-song set: Rubber Ducky, Take On Me, Son Of A Preacher Man, and Video Killed The Radio Star.
We sang for Parent's Weekend in the belltower, along with Oscar and Emily and Sixteen Feet. We sang a four-song set: Rubber Ducky, Masochism Tango, Puff The Magic Dragon, and Take On Me.
We co-hosted a concert with Chaverim in Mephistos. We sang a three-song set after Chaverim opened the concert: Video Killed The Radio Star, Streets Of Philadelphia, and Son Of A Preacher Man.
We sang in the Fall Jamboree, hosted by Oscar and Emily. We opened the second half with a three-song set: Take On Me, Off The Hook, and Early September.
We hosted a concert in Mephistos and invited two groups, the Penn Counterparts and the Haverford Oxford Blues. We opened the concert with Scottish Spring and Ob-la-di, Ob-la-da, and closed the concert with a four-song set plus encore: Crash Into Me, Name, One, Finnish Drinking Song, and Like A Prayer (encore).
We sang in the Ville to kick off the new Friday in The Ville. We sang a five-song set: Rubber Ducky, Walking On Broken Glass, Son Of A Preacher Man, Video Killed The Radio Star, and Like A Prayer (encore).
We sang in the bell tower with most of Swarthmore's other a cappella groups to attract new members at the Activities Fair. We performed with other Swarthmore groups Cantatrix and Sticks and Stones at the Empty the Shelters, Fill the Homes Poverty Awareness Week Kickoff. We sang a four-song set: Like A Prayer, Least Complicated, The Christians and the Pagans, and More Than a Paycheck, a new (to Mixed Company) song by Sweet Honey in the Rock.
We performed at Haverford College with the UPenn Penny Loafers and the Haverford/Bryn Mawr Looney Tunes in the Tunes' 10th Anniversary Concert. We sang a five-song set: Scottish Spring, Rubber Ducky, Southern Cross, Spontaneous Human Combustion, and Be My Yoko Ono.
We opened the second half of the Fall Jamboree (hosted by Cantatrix) and sang a four-song set with intro: Scottish Spring (intro), The Christians and the Pagans, Southern Cross, Name, and Chili Con Carne.
We joined Sticks and Stones, Swarthmore's other co-ed a cappella group, and Oscar and Emily, the jazz a cappella group on campus, in hosting the Columbia University Metrotones. We sang a four-song set to open: Rubber Ducky, Walking On Broken Glass, Lullabye, and Spontaneous Human Combustion. Later, we closed the concert with The Masochism Tango.
We hosted the Spring Jamborees and sang a four-song set each night: Be My Yoko Ono, Never My Love, Lullabye, and Down Under.
We sang a joint concert with Grapevine and Triple A from West Chester University. Our set was: Spontaneous Human Combustion, Blackbird, Under The Boardwalk, and Free Bird.
We sang for Parents Weekend at Kohlberg Coffee Bar. Our set was: Rubber Ducky, Blossom, Like A Prayer, Under The Boardwalk, and Spontaneous Human Combustion.
We sang at a reception for a recently engaged couple. Our set was: Ob La Di, Ob La Da, Dream, Blossom, Margie, and Under The Boardwalk.
We sang at Fall Jamboree, hosted by Sixteen Feet, in the Meetinghouse. Ours was a three-song set: Under The Boardwalk/Out On Magill Walk, Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You, and Hey Jude.
We hosted the Pittsburgh University Pitt Pendulums in the Friends Meetinghouse and sang a five-song set: Dinner Bell, One, Son of a Preacher Man, Waltzing Matilda, and Finnish Drinking Song.
We hosted a concert in Mephistos and sang a four-song set: Ob-la-di, Ob-la-da, Blackbird, Masochism Tango, and Thriller.
We sang at the Bell Tower Sing to attract new members to the group. Our set consisted of Ob La Di, Ob La Da, Like A Prayer, Walking On Broken Glass, Rubber Ducky, and Son Of A Preacher Man.
We opened the Spring Jamboree with three songs: The Finnish Drinking Song, Blackbird, and Free Bird.
We sang for a student sit-in protesting sanctions in Iraq. The two songs we sang were Blossom and Amazing Grace.

We hosted the Williams College Elizabethans for a Bell Tower sing. We sang five songs in all: Blossom, Rubber Ducky, Least Complicated, Yerushalayim Shel Zahav, and Like A Prayer.
We sang for an alumni panel dinner in Upper Tarble. We sang three songs: Blossom, Dream, and Rubber Ducky.
We performed at the Fall Jamboree with Swarthmore's other a cappella groups. We sang a four song set: You Sexy Thing, On The Street Where You Live, Waltzing Matilda, and the Eighties Medley.
We sang for the Athletic Department Banquet at 6pm at the Ashton House. We sang six songs in all: Son of a Preacher Man, On The Street Where You Live, Walking On Broken Glass, Ob La Di, Ob La Da, Silent Night, and Margie.
We sang at Elizabethtown College along with four other groups, Elizabethtown College's Melica, Johns Hopkins University's Vocal Chords, Dickinson College's Octals, and Elizabethtown College's Phalanx. We opened the concert with a five song set: Walking On Broken Glass, Least Complicated, Dream A Little Dream Of Me, Like A Prayer, and Ob La Di, Ob La Da.
We sang at the Dead Dog Cafe at Mary Lyons. We performed an eight song set, including Ob La Di, Ob La Da, If I Could, Least Complicated, Masochism Tango, Blossom, Like A Prayer, Dream A Little Dream Of Me, and Son Of A Preacher Man.
We sang at the Lang Performing Arts Center for prospective students. We sang a three song set: Ob La Di, Ob La Da, One, and Son of a Preacher Man.
We sang at the infamous Bell Tower sing in order to attract potential members. We sang a total of four songs, Ob La Di, Ob La Da, Least Complicated, Rubber Ducky, and Son of a Preacher Man.
We performed for the Linguistics Party and sang five songs: Son of a Preacher Man, Dream a Little Dream of Me, Spontaneous Human Combustion, Superman's Song, and Ob La Di, Ob La Da.
We performed at Woodlynde K-12 School and sang eight songs. We opened with Son of a Preacher Man, then sang One More Minute, Margie, Walking on Broken Glass, Simple, Superman's Song, Rubber Ducky, Ob La Di, Ob La Da.
