Relevant courses
The following are courses offered at Swarthmore College that are particularly relevant to the electrical engineering course of study.
ENGR 011. Electrical Circuit Analysis
The analysis of electrical circuits is introduced, including resistors, capacitors, inductors, op-amps, and diodes. Techniques are taught to solve differential equations resulting from linear circuits. Solutions will be formulated both in the time domain and in the frequency domain.
ENGR 015. Fundamentals of Digital Systems, also CPSC 24
Introduction to digital system theory and design techniques, including Boolean logic, digital representations of data, and techniques for the design of combinational and sequential digital circuits.
ENGR 072. Electronic Circuit Applications
The student will learn the fundamentals of electronic circuit design starting with a brief survey of semiconductor devices including diodes and bipolar and field effect transistors. The course continues with op-amp applications, including instrumentation and filter design.
