Swarthmore College and the Amos J. Peaslee Debate Society Proudly Announce their Bid for the 2004 APDA Nationals (April 9-11, 2004)

Debate. We are offering 6 preliminary rounds with a break to Octofinals. All rounds will be held on the gorgeous Swarthmore campus. Our tab room will feature fifth-year tabber Sarah Drescher with judging direction by dino John Dolan. Tab will be accurate, fair, and on time.

Accommodations. All debaters and judges will stay at either the Phildelphia Airport Renaissance (www.renaissancehotels.com) or the Philadelphia Airport Hilton (www.hilton.com). Both have offered competitive bids, and we welcome any suggestions or opinions. We will run a shuttle from the hotel to campus for rounds and social events.

Entertainment. Swat's tradition of lavish parties and banquets will continue with social events on both Friday and Saturday nights. We are currently considering several options for the banquet, and may hold the banquet in the host hotel. This means no long shuttle to the banquet--just get dressed and take the elevator.

Convenience. Swat's central location is convenient whether you're coming from DC or Boston. For those flying into the airport, there is a free shuttle service to the hotel. Both the hotel and the campus are accessible by train (SEPTA).

Affordability. We are setting the registration fee at $250 +/- $25 per team depending on support from our administration/APDA and corporate sponsorship. As usual, we will be providing food and ample entertainment all weekend.
