Chester Mural Collective

…be a part of something BIGGER than yourself!

The Chester Mural Collective is a coalition of artists, residents, students, and neighborhood programs committed to creating murals in the schools and streets of our community.

Through the collaborative creation of murals, we strive to:

Murals are a powerful way to inspire community pride and tell the histories of a neighborhood. The painting process encourages creative collaboration and dialogue between artists and other members of the community. Public art, designed and painted by residents of all ages, allows a community to represent itself on a grand and visible scale.

Thank you to all the organizations that have sponsored us along the way: Chester Youth Collaborative, Freeman Cultural Arts Center, YWCA of Chester, the Lang Center at Swarthmore College, and Chester Hardware & Supply.

Our heartfelt thanks and appreciation go out to all our dedicated and creative young artists, their parents, and the volunteers that have pitched in to help us out. You have made us what we are.
