Creating a Personal Blog

First, some FAQs:

a) You do NOT need an SCCS account to have a blog. You do, however, need either a Swarthmore email address or an SCCS email address. One more reason to get an account with SCCS- your SCCS email address will always exist!

b) Your username (see step 1) does not have to be personal, although if you are trying to make an org page, you are at the wrong place! Go here instead.

OK, now how to get a blog:

1. Go to http://blogs.sccs.swarthmore.edu/ and create an SCCS Blogs account.
Select “Gimme a blog”:
get blog

2. Verify your account–you will receive an email to the account you registered with.

3. Go here and log in. You’ll be redirected to the admin site.

If you want to get a custom look, or to use a theme that isn’t included in our massive collection of around 200, go look for more. If you find one you absolutely must have, email us with a URL to the site. If it will run, we’ll install it.

Not sure about WordPress?  Take a look at some sites that use WordPress – you may be surprised.

I found your post comments while searching Google. It is very relevant information. Great work. Regularly I do not make posts on blogs, but I have to say that this posting really forced me to do so. Really fantastic and I will be coming back for more information at your site and revisit it!
