This did not work! I am running Windows 7 Home edition and trying to do this on both Thunderbird and Outlook. Clearly something is wrong…I am not on campus, but back on my ubuntu computer, that was never a problem…
As with Louisa, I too, am having problems setting up my Android E-mail client to get SCCS Mail.
Here is a step-by-step order of what settings I am putting down:
1) Setting Incoming Server Settings as stated above. Everything seems to go OK.
2) Setting Outgoing Server Settings as above. After filling in all information, receiving message of “Checking outgoing server settings…”. The settings do not seem to work, because I get an error message of “[Setup could not finish] Unable to open connection to server. Edit details”.
Otherwise I cannot get any connection via my Android device. I am using the following:
* Android HTC G2 with CyanogenMod 7.1.0-vision custom kernel
* Android version 2.3.7
* Set up pine and Webmail use for self.
I am unsure of what else can be done. I would appreciate any other pointers if possible. Thank you!
